Sometimes I get an idea in my head and I just cannot get it out!
I run past this house several times a month, and each time I’ve thought about how great it would be to do a Christmas session in front of it. The pink of the house is not a normal Christmas color, which is why I like it. I had this vision for a while, and have been adding to it during each run. A sweet friend mentioned she had this Grand Wagoneer and that was the missing piece of the puzzle. Been mentally planning this shoot since April, and it was absolute perfection.
Photography, for me, is more than just knowing how to use my camera, its figuring out something special – using the location, light, available resources to make the images more than just “technically correct”. Sessions like this stretch me beyond the norm and give my creativity a major workout.
This shoot was everything I had hoped it would be. Griswold-meets-classic-Christmas and my heart is full.
