Traveling to destination locations for Senior Portraits is an incredible excuse to visit a new area while also documenting your trip through a portrait session! My Senior Model Team girls met me in New York City for a three part session. First up was Brooklyn Bridge at sunrise, then the second shoot was at Central Park’s Bethesda Fountain and then that evening, after a break to rest up and sight see some, we met back up at Times Square! Incredibly different locations during these three sets of shoots and VASTLY different than what we can get from our hometowns as well!
These girls all brought their families along with them and spent 2-3 more days in the city beyond our session, which is the whole point! Giving families an “excuse” to spend intentional time with their senior girls before they go off to college is a HUGE reason to say YES to the SMT!

Spot 1: Brooklyn Bridge is ideally shot first thing in the morning because of the nature of it — major foot traffic! We were able to avoid a large crowd by getting there so early!
POV: Your senior wants her haircut ON THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE! I love the spontaneity of this moment! She went from elbow length hair to shoulder length in the space of about 45 seconds!
Spot 2: Central Park has so many different areas to shoot, but we focused on the Bethesda Terrace/Fountain area and were pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous cherry blossom trees that were still in full bloom!
Spot 3: Times Square is always chaotic fun! We chose three different areas of focus in this set – a “Subway” sign, the lit up mega-tron billboards and a taxi. The Taxi was trickier to wrangle than I thought it would be, but we made it work with what we managed to get!
