In September, I jet-setted across the country to the west coast for a senior photography workshop with Kirsi and her SnapShot Conference. I had no idea what kind of knowledge, friendships and experiences I would have there, and they have all benefited my business in big ways!
One of the key components of Krisi’s workshop method is that we have a two-to-one photographer to model ratio during styled shoots… which, if you’re a photographer, this is huge! Not having to jockey for position or be pushed out of your good spot is critical when being creative and working with a model!
Most of these models are past clients of the conference educators and aren’t paid models, which makes these shots even more authentic! I adored their styling – from makeup to hair to outfits to accessories — and brought so many new ideas back home with me!
Here are some of my favorite shots from my time in California… and get ready for another batch this fall — because I’m headed back to the west coast, y’all!
