This wedding has a little behind-the-scenes backstory! Abbey was on one of my first Senior Model Teams several years ago and while she went to college, we sort of lost touch. Last fall, I randomly had a cancellation that I posted on my Instagram story, hoping to fill it with an engagement session or a senior. Abbey reached out to me and booked it! She then reached back out and said that they were planning to get married in Dahlonega in December and would I be willing to travel there for the wedding?! Of course, I said yes — winter wedding in the mountains? Yes, please! I somehow managed to talk my sister in law into driving me — so we (ok, SHE) drove to Dahlonega and back in the same day.
The Forrest Hills resort was so quaint and the weather was just the right amount of chilly for the season… in full sun, it was actually quite pleasant! Abbey and Dallas’s day was so sweetly planned and their families and closest friends joined them at their destination celebration! I loved the lodge feel, the mountain views, and the tenderness + kindness that Dallas and Abbey had towards each other and their guests.
It was the perfect day for this couple and I’m so thankful to have been a part of it! Best wishes, you two!
