KatieBeth and Daniel are one of the most genuine and kindest couples I’ve encountered. They are thoughtful towards each other, and even in the blazing August heat, managed to embrace any and all portrait ideas I threw at them. Their ceremony was at Park Avenue Methodist Church in Valdosta, Georgia. This newly updated church building set the stage for timeless + classic portraits of this couple. The natural light available in this sanctuary is gorgeous and we used every angle possible! They had an incredible (and vibrant!) wedding party and KB invited the girls she mentors in a church small group to play a part in her wedding day (like I said, such a kind bride!). I also adore this church because of it’s balcony — look below to see my favorite shots to get from this location — an aerial view of the bride + her dad coming down the aisle — it gives me all the “Royal Wedding” vibes!
After the ceremony, there was a beautiful flower exit which led the couple to a vintage get-away-car. The car took them to their reception site — The Crescent in downtown — just a mile or two away! The Crescent is where most of the bridal party + family portraits took place. And even though it was a very hot day, the light in this area was perfect for this set of images! After a cocktail hour in the courtyard during photos, the couple mingled with friends and danced the night away!
Such an incredible day with KatieBeth + Daniel! And now we also share an anniversary! August 8th couples are extra special folks in my book 😉
