Sometimes senior guys can be a little more difficult to work with than with girls. With senior girls you can have them twirl and tuck their hair behind their ears and swing their dress, etc… with senior guys, there’s only so many “poses” that can be done unless the guy is like uber-confident. Lucky for me, John was one of those guys with a good self-esteem, and he also brought along some pretty cool props to add to the mix. To start off with, he wanted something woodsy and outdoorsy without being overly rustic, Kinderlou Chapel was the perfect spot for that. He brought his dog along for this segment of the session and I’m so glad he did! While we were there, he also did some college-choice photos. He gained a football scholarship and will be playing for the University of West Georgia, so he wanted a few pictures in his college gear along with his truck.
After that, we cruised across town and were able to go inside and down on the field where he spent so many hours practicing and playing his sport. During this part, he wore his jerseys + letterman jacket and brought along his football gear. I loved this part of the session because we were able to use a lot of different spots in the stadium that really showed it off!
Having a solid plan and different wardrobe choices for each location really made it easy to create a diverse gallery with tons of different portraits!
