When Jenna signed up for the SMT back in April of 2020, our initial plan for her individual session was to shoot at Disney. Parks, Resorts, reservations — plans were cautiously made… and then masks and shut downs and limited tickets happened and Disney just hasn’t been the same. So we pivoted (seems to be the key word these days, eh?) and went a totally different direction and got equally (if not better, I dare say!) results! Jenna and her family frequent St. George Island when they are not spending time at Disney, so this location was a clear choice. They bike around the little island and eat at this ice cream shop and find deals and souvenirs at the little blue shop on the corner.
Because of the nature of this session’s location (coastal!), my husband and I brought along our new favorite prop to add in to this session — our boat! I was extra excited to add in this element to Jenna’s session — we used it to cruise out to Dog Island for some sand and surf shots on the abandoned areas of beach. Being able to add in this extra element of adventure made the session even that much more fun! Sunset at the beach, bright sun and ice cream on St. George Island itself and casually wandering around the cutest parts of Apalachicola’s downtown… a magical day with one of my favorite families.
