When I noticed there was not a lot on the schedule for January, I decided that a fun creative shoot needed to happen — the more colorful the better! January tends to be the dreary connection between Christmas and Valentine’s Day… a usually cold and yucky season without much fun. Knowing how January usually gets me down pushed me to plan towards a session that would keep me busy and creative.
I built these two sets inside the studio and gathered up three fun college friends and my three kiddos (and our dog!) to see just what we could come up with! Between fun hats, a pink phone, plenty of on-theme sunglasses, and some seasonal candy, it all came together just perfectly! During last few images of this blog post, I pushed it even further with the use of cellophane, prisms and streamers… available only upon request at the mini sessions later on this month.
