So far 2021 has been covered in clouds (literally) down here in the south. It’s been incredibly rainy, foggy and just plain yucky. We’d scheduled Jenna and Cameron’s engagement session to happen on a Saturday morning… and Friday night we noticed 100% chance of rain DURING their session time. Thankfully we were able to move it to the next afternoon which turned out gorgeous! We arrived to Oak Hill Farm with a little cloud coverage and by the time we left, it was gloriously sunny! I’m always thankful when a couple’s wedding venue allows them to use the space as their engagement location also! It gives me a chance to check out the areas ahead of time and also gives the couple a chance to utilize their investment even more!
While I’d met Jenna before (about 9 years ago as I photographed her sister’s wedding!), I was glad to get to know her as a grown up version of the sweet girl I knew years ago! Jenna and Cameron are a prime example of my ideal couple. They’re joyful and loving to each other, they’re trusting of me and my ideas, they’re open and chatty and fun… all of my favorite things! They’ve been dating for a year and have just bought their first home down in Florida where Cameron has his career solidified. I’m so thrilled to be working with them in September… their engagement session was a breath of fresh air for my creative spirit and I’m so looking forward to what their wedding day will bring!
