Her grandfather was in the military when he married her grandmother. He was dressed in his blues, she had a simple white dress — those pictures have stood the test of time, and have stood out in Katie’s mind from childhood. When Katie and Cody asked me to photograph their wedding, I was so honored to be a part of this moment for them. After the judge preformed the sweetest ceremony in front of their families, we went downtown and photographed some portraits for them!
